This concert by the World Youth Chamber Orchestra is dedicated to the younger generations of Italian and American musicians, and to the great musical tradition of the two countries. It includes music by Verdi and Barber. The aim is to build partnerships and networks capable of generating and sustaining durable exchanges and cooperation.

Fourteen young musicians from the best music schools (7 Italians and 7 Americans) are selected through auditions to be part of the orchestra. The Washington tour includes 5 days of Open Rehearsal in Washington, DC at the public school Columbia Height Educational Campus (CHEC) and the final concert at the Italian Embassy. The group  offers workshops and seminars to the school students on the innovative method called “Participatory Method in Creating Music Performances.”
