Marylouise Serrato began a career in communications management working for over ten years for three major San Francisco-based advertising agencies: Allen & Dorward & Co, BBD&O and McCann-Erickson. Marylouise was responsible for the management of a variety of consumer goods and services accounts, new product development and test marketing. In 1994, she moved to Brussels, Belgium and in 2001 to Geneva, Switzerland. In Geneva, Marylouise worked as a freelance marketing consultant and taught Business Enlish language and topics to corporate clients.
Marylouise currently serves as executive Director of the American Citizens Abroad (ACA),
Washington. She directs and manages ACA Inc. and indirectly ACA Global Foundation. She is
responsible for strategic vision, planning and implementation of projects and initiatives, allocation of resources and managing staffing. Mrs. Serrato drives development of new business ideas andmarketing programs including local and worldwide events; seminars, fundraisers, and promotionalmaterials and literature. Marylouise joined ACA in 2002 working as Managing Director and in 2010 became Executive Director.
Marylouise splits her time between Washington, DC, Italy and Switzerland. Marylouise is fluent in Italian and French. Mrs. Serrato will bring a wealth of experience and expertise and serves as a director of AIFIC and as also its Secretary.
