Elisabetta Savigni Ullmann. Co-Founder and Director of AIFIC. Commendatore OSSI. In over twenty years of activity in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area, Elisabetta Savigni Ullmann has been an official translator and interpreter for the White House, the Department of State, the Department of Defense, Congress and several Italian industrial groups. For a long time now, Elisabetta Ullmann has also been the Embassy of Italy’s most trusted translator and interpreter for meetings, official visits and conferences. Mrs. Savigni Ullman also plays a leading role in the Italian community, and is a member of several of its prominent organizations. Her commitment to the promotion of the Italian language and culture in the United States has been extraordinary. She has not missed an opportunity to underline the universality of Italian culture and the exceptional contributions of Italians and Italian-Americans to the growth and development of the United States. For these reasons, the President of the Republic, Giorgio Napolitano, has decided to bestow upon Elisabetta Savigni Ullmann the title of Commendatore of the Order of the Star of Italian Solidarity. She joined Board of Directors of AIFIC from its luncheon in 2013.
